Run, Jump and Throw Club

Victoria Park City Of Glasgow host a Run, Jump and Throw Club at Scotstoun Stadium in Danes Drive, Glasgow on Saturday mornings from 9.30am till 10.30am for 5 - 7 year olds or 10.30 till 11.30am for 8 - 12 year olds.

The sessions are usually held over 8 week blocks which can be booked at this link.  If the sessions are not fully booked, you will still be able to book the remaining sessions.

The sessions are open to boys and girls aged 5 years to 12 years.  *** If the booking screen is blank, you'll have missed the enrolement deadline.  Please add your email address to our mailing list and we'll warn you in advance of the next block ***

If your child is 8 years of age or over, they can come to our evening sessions which start at 7pm on Monday's, Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's.

 

The Run, Jump & Throw Club (RJT) is a programme designed to give children an opportunity to discover and participate in Athletics activities all year round.


The RJT is tailored to suit children of all skill levels from beginners and less experienced youngsters up to those who have already taken part in introductory athletics programmes, holiday courses or local junior competitions.

The RJT programme offers children a wide variety of Athletics events and techniques, and focuses on the FUNdamental movement skills, important in every child's development.


Events covered include:

Sprints, Hurdles, Shot putt, Javelin, Discus, Long jump, High jump, Relay Races and Endurance.


Who is it for?

Children aged from 5 to 11 years who want to have fun, participate, make friends, and learn new and exciting skills.



What do I need to get started?

Just a pair of trainers, a bottle of water and clothing suitable for exercise.
