The club is divided into several large training groups which cater for a wide range of ages and ability. Other specialist coaches are available, for their details, contact the club secretary.
U11's and U13's Group
This group provides basic fitness and coaching to young newcomers in all events including running, jumping and throwing for athletes aged 8 to 13 years before they move on to event groups.
Coached by Kenny Gray, Trish Little, Tom Brady, Theresa Ferrie, Martin Hayes, David Martin, Alisha Sekhon, Gillian Black and Ross Black.
They train on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7pm.
This group is for male and female athletes who compete as under 15's and older, they receive coaching in track events up to 400m and a selection of jumps and throws events.
Coached by Lynn McGary and Craig Stevenson.
They train on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm.
This group provides training and competition in all events from 800 metres to Cross Country.
Coached by Charlie Murray, Jim Harvie, Jason Boyle and Rab Daly.
This group is coached by Gordon Innes and trains on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm till 8.30pm. Athletes are coached in Discus, Javelin, Shot and Hammer.
VP-Glasgow has a group that caters for athletes with a disability. We coach athletes with either a physical or learning disability. We welcome athletes from 9 years of age and older.
The group train at Scotstoun Stadium on Wednesday evenings from 7.15pm till 8.30pm.
The group is led by Linda Innes, Becky Dunphy, Peter MacGregor and Gordon Innes.
The group is currently training for competition in sprints, endurance, jumps and throws. 7 of the current group are preparing to represent Scotland West at the Special Olympics at Sheffield in 2017.
We are currently holding Race Running come and try sessions for athletes with cerebral palsy. Race Running sessions are likely to become a regular Wednesday evening event from early October 2016.
